Nigerian singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, has emphasized that achieving success in the music industry requires more than just producing hit songs.
In a recent statement, Ruger explained that his frequent bookings for shows are not solely due to his musical talent but also because of the unique personality he brings to the stage.
He stated, "Let me explain to you why I get booked so much. I don’t come on stage to sing (of which I know I’m so good at); I bring my whole fucking personality on stage—it’s not a joke."
Ruger highlighted that an artist could have numerous hit songs yet remain ineffective during live performances if they lack stage presence and charisma.
He stressed the importance of showcasing one's personality alongside musical talent to truly captivate audiences. This approach, according to Ruger, is what sets him apart and contributes to his ongoing success in the competitive music industry.
