Ex Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, has highlighted his administration's commitment to development despite facing opposition.
Speaking at the launch of a 14.1-kilometer road in Omuma Local Government Area, which connects Rivers State to Abia State, Fubara emphasized the essence of governance as "providing services for the people and protecting lives."
Fubara candidly addressed the challenges posed by his adversaries, stating, "When they thought we were being emasculated, we were behind working, and this is one of those things we have done quietly to showcase that the interest of our people is paramount in our administration."
This road project, he noted, is not just a local initiative but an inter-state endeavor with significant implications for regional connectivity and development.
The governor's remarks shows a broader narrative of political resilience and dedication to impactful governance. His approach reflects a focus on delivering substantial projects that prioritize citizens' needs, even amidst distractions and attempts to undermine his leadership.
Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, who was present at the event, praised Fubara's efforts, describing him as "a performer per excellence" and highlighting the hope such leadership brings for Nigeria's future. This collaboration between state leaders points to a potential for enhanced governance practices across regions, fostering growth and development.
