"We Arrested Him, He Did Not Surrender Himself", Says EFCC

Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has confirmed the arrest of Yahaya Bello, the Governor of Kogi State, over allegations of fraud.

Contrary to earlier reports suggesting that Bello voluntarily submitted himself for questioning, the EFCC clarified, "We arrested him," emphasizing the agency's active role in apprehending the governor.

The arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into financial misconduct involving state funds.

The EFCC spokesperson stated, "Our investigations have uncovered significant evidence pointing towards fraudulent activities, and we are committed to ensuring accountability."
