Marjorie Fiterman, 102, and Bernie Littman, 100, have been recognized by the Guinness World Records as the oldest newlyweds, with a combined age of 202 years.
Their love story began in a senior living facility in Philadelphia, USA, where they bonded over shared meals and community activities.
Both Marjorie and Bernie had previously enjoyed over 60 years of marriage with their respective first spouses.
After their spouses passed away, fate brought them together on the same floor of the retirement community.
Despite having attended the University of Pennsylvania at the same time many years ago, it wasn't until later in life that they met and fell in love.
Their wedding ceremony, held on May 19, was a joyous occasion attended by four generations of Bernie's family.
The couple was escorted to the altar in wheelchairs under a chuppah a traditional Jewish wedding canopy held by their loved ones.
Adam Wohlberg, who officiated the ceremony, remarked, "Each of you has already amassed a lifetime of wisdom and experience what you know and understand about each other is exactly what the future holds for you and your partner."
Bernie attributes his longevity to reading, while Marjorie credits buttermilk. Their story is a testament to the enduring power of love and companionship, proving that it's never too late to find happiness.
