Trump Pledges to End "Transgender Lunacy" on First Day in Office

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, has announced his intention to implement sweeping changes regarding transgender rights on the very first day of his presidency.

Speaking at the AmericaFest conference for young conservatives in Phoenix, Arizona, Trump vowed to "stop the transgender lunacy," a move that aligns with the broader Republican agenda as they prepare to control both chambers of Congress and the White House.

Trump's proposed policies include signing executive orders aimed at ending what he described as "child sexual mutilation," removing transgender individuals from military service, and barring them from participating in elementary, middle, and high schools.

He further stated his commitment to "keep men out of women's sports," asserting that "it will be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female."

This announcement comes amidst a backdrop of intense political division in the United States over transgender rights.

Democratic and Republican states have been moving in opposite directions on issues such as medical treatment and educational content related to transgender topics.

Recently, the U.S. Congress passed a defense budget that includes provisions to limit funding for certain gender-affirming care for the children of service members.

In his speech, Trump painted a stark contrast between his upcoming administration and the preceding four years under President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

He promised a new era of "peace, prosperity, and national greatness," while also pledging to address international conflicts, including ending the war in Ukraine and preventing World War III.
