The presidency has officially confirmed that President Bola Tinubu will seek re-election in the upcoming 2027 presidential race.
This announcement was made by Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser on Public Communication and Media, during a press briefing at the All Progressives Congress (APC) headquarters in Abuja.
Addressing the media, Bwala stated, "President Tinubu will not only contest but is expected to win the 2027 presidential election."
He emphasized that Tinubu's performance in office would "naturally endear Nigerians to vote him for a second term," highlighting the president's constitutional eligibility and his commitment to national development.
Currently, President Tinubu is focused on addressing pressing issues such as hunger, agricultural advancement, and the everyday challenges faced by Nigerians. "The time for politicking is not yet," Bwala noted, "and when that time comes, we are going to be ready for everyone."
In recent developments, President Tinubu has been actively engaging with international leaders, including a closed-door meeting with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
