President Bola Tinubu is delighted with the news that troops of Operation Hadarin Daji have successfully neutralised a wanted bandit leader, Khalil Sububa.
Sububa has been terrorising the residents of Zamfara, Sokoto and other parts of Northwest Nigeria. Besides Sububu, the military also killed another terrorist, Sani Wala Buruki, in a joint operation in Katsina and neutralised a terrorist enclave in Kaduna, freeing 13 kidnapped students.
Tinubu said the successful operation gave him confidence in the ability of Nigeria's security forces to ensure peace and security in the country, and pledged continued support to the military. The operation was successful in accordance with the directives of the President who directed the service chiefs to remain in the area until normalcy is restored.
"I commend the military high command, intelligence agencies and troops for their valiant efforts, synergy and dedication that delivered the recent laudable results. "I also commend all security agencies for their efforts in improving security in the country and urge them to continue their efforts until the immediate and potential threats are finally eliminated," the president said.
He assured the security agencies of his continued support in achieving their priority goal of ensuring safety and security in the country.
