President Ahmed Bola Tinubu has arrived in Maiduguri, Borno State after the devastating Alau Dam floods claimed lives and destroyed properties in the area.
The visit comes at the time when the state government is working tirelessly to manage the aftermath of the floods and restore normalcy, giving hope to residents.
The President arrived at about 3.15pm and was warmly welcomed by Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum.
*ICMNEWS* reported that the Tragic floods submerged almost half of Maiduguri on Monday, September 9, and displaced thousands of residents.
The state government has set up 36 camps to provide shelter to the affected people.
During the visit, President Tinubu is scheduled to meet with Shekh Alhaji Abubakar Umaru Garbai Kaneni of Borno State to pay his respects and discuss recovery efforts in the region.
He is also expected to visit one of the relief camps housing the displaced families.
President Tinubu, deeply concerned about the plight of the people, is set to address them, offering consolation and pledging federal support to help them recover.
