Tinubu Appoints 11 New Permanent Secretaries

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of 11 directors as permanent secretaries.

This decision was confirmed through a memo from the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, marking the culmination of a rigorous selection process initiated in October.

The recruitment process began with 38 directors participating in a qualifying examination. Of these, 19 advanced to the second stage, and ultimately, 11 were selected for the final positions.

The Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, emphasized the integrity of the process by stating that "individuals currently facing disciplinary actions are prohibited from applying for permanent secretary positions."

Dr. Emmanuel Meribole, representing the exam committee, noted, “The under-listed eleven (11) candidates are invited to the oral interview stage of the process for the appointment of Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Civil Service, following their successful performance in Stages I and II of the exercise.”
