Grammy-winning artist TI found himself at the center of controversy after being denied entry to a restaurant in Austin, Texas.
The reason for the denial was simple yet significant TI did not have his identification on him. This seemingly routine requirement led to an unexpected confrontation with the bouncer at the venue.
The situation quickly escalated as TI expressed his frustration by mocking the bouncer's attire and professionalism.
In a video that has since gone viral, TI can be heard saying, "There's a sucker right here at the front talkin' 'bout I need some ID to get in somewhere," before proceeding to criticize the man's clothing and shoes.
Despite the verbal barrage, the bouncer maintained his composure and stood firm in his decision to deny entry.
Social media users have largely sided with the bouncer, praising his calm demeanor and criticizing TI's behavior as immature.
One Instagram user commented, "He was doing his job. Your job as an ADULT is to have your ID on you always." Another added, "Famous or not, the man still gotta do his job."
This incident is not the first time TI has faced public scrutiny.
Earlier this month, he was indirectly criticized by Young Thug's father, Jeffery Williams Sr., for allegedly failing to support his son during his incarceration.
Williams Sr. questioned the motives of Atlanta artists, including TI, suggesting their actions were more about personal gain than genuine support.
