Third Bomb Blast Rocks Zamfara In Just a Week

F.Adenike

Zamfara State in Nigeria has experienced its third bomb explosion within a week, as reported on Friday, December 6,by Daily Post Nigeria.

The latest blast occurred on Malele Road, following two previous explosions between Dansadau and Malamawa.

These incidents have been attributed to bandits, although no group has officially claimed responsibility.

Security expert Zagazola Makama described the situation as dire, noting that the explosions have caused "severe destruction" in the affected areas.

Despite the significant damage, details about casualties or injuries remain unclear at this time.

The Police Commissioner of Zamfara has pointed fingers at the Lukurawa group for orchestrating these attacks.

The series of bombings has not only escalated fears among local residents but also drawn condemnation from Nigerian governors.

In response to the security challenges, there have been political repercussions as well. The All Progressives Congress (APC) has rejected the state's 2025 budget proposal, and security forces have barred journalists from attending the governor's budget presentation.

Amidst these tensions, an aid package of EUR5 million has been announced to support the states of Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara, highlighting the international community's concern over the region's stability.
