The Enugu State Government has issued a stern warning to the public regarding false claims of ongoing recruitment within its Civil Service Commission.
Mr. Robinson Odo, the Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, addressed these concerns in a statement released on Wednesday, categorically dismissing the rumors as fraudulent.
In his statement, Mr. Odo emphasized, "There is no recruitment process currently ongoing. The information circulating on social media is false and a scam." He further cautioned the public against unscrupulous agents and fraudsters who are directing applicants to apply through unauthorized websites.
The government has urged citizens to verify any recruitment-related information through official channels to avoid falling victim to scams. "Please, disregard the news circulating on social media alleging that the state civil service commission is currently recruiting," Mr. Odo reiterated.
Highlighting the administration's commitment to transparency and accountability, Mr. Odo assured that any legitimate job openings would be communicated through appropriate and verifiable means.
"This government has successfully carried out thousands of employments through verifiable channels. The processes were traceable, transparent, and accountable in line with the governing philosophy of Gov. Peter Mbah's administration," he stated.
