T.I. Announces Retirement After Final Show

Legendary American rapper T.I., born Clifford Joseph Harris Jr., has officially announced his retirement from live performances, stating, "I do not need the money anymore."

This decision comes ahead of his final show at the Jingle Ball festival on December 19, 2024, hosted by Atlanta's 96.1 The Beat. At 44, T.I. will headline this event alongside artists such as Sexyy Red, T-Pain, Saweetie, The Kid Laroi, Khalid, and Tinashe.

In an interview with Atlanta's 96.1 The Beat, T.I. expressed his desire to step away from performing, emphasizing that he no longer wishes to "hop around and sweat for their entertainment anymore."

This marks a transition in his illustrious hip-hop career, which includes hits like "Dead and Gone" and "About the Money." T.I.'s retirement follows his previous announcement of a 12th and final double album, signaling his intent to evolve beyond his career as a rapper. As he prepares to embrace new directions outside of performing, fans and industry observers alike are keenly interested in what lies ahead for T.I. beyond music.
