Houston police have arrested Kendrick Rayvon Fisher, 29, on charges of capital murder following the tragic deaths of his sister and her 2-year-old daughter.
The incident unfolded in their apartment, where both victims were discovered with fatal stab wounds.
According to police reports, Fisher was found asleep on the couch in the same residence, with injuries that suggested a physical struggle and clothing stained with blood.
The police were alerted to the scene by a passerby who flagged them down, reporting that the woman and child were being held hostage.
Upon arrival, officers conducted a search of the apartment, leading to the grim discovery of the lifeless bodies. Fisher, who is the brother of the deceased woman and uncle to the toddler, was subsequently interrogated by detectives and charged with the heinous crime.
