The Super Eagles of Nigeria have retained their 44th position in the latest FIFA men's ranking. This ranking was released on FIFA's official website on Thursday, marking the last the governing body will release for the year 2024.
Despite a previous drop of eight places to this position in November, the team has managed to hold steady. Within Africa, they are ranked fifth, following Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, and Algeria.
On the global stage, Argentina holds the top spot in the FIFA rankings, followed by France, Spain, England, and Brazil. This provides a broader perspective on where the Super Eagles stand in comparison to other leading football nations.
The team is currently led by interim head coach Augustine Eguavoen, whose leadership is crucial in maintaining their current ranking and striving for improvement.
