Spain Captain Alvaro Morata to Split Earnings with Ex-Wife After Divorce

Spain captain Alvaro Morata is set to hand over half of his earnings to his ex-wife, Alice Campello, following their divorce.

The couple, who separated in mid-August 2024 after seven years of marriage, have four children together. The split reportedly stemmed from an argument on the pitch during Spain's Euro 2024 final victory over England.

According to Marca, the disagreement escalated when Alice insisted that only she, their children, and her friends should be allowed on the pitch to celebrate with Morata, excluding his parents and family.

Morata, 31, and Campello, 29, have both expressed a desire to maintain a respectful relationship for the sake of their children. Despite rumors of infidelity, Morata has vehemently denied any wrongdoing, stating, "I am tired of people saying that I was unfaithful to Alice because I didn't even go to the national team party so that this type of rumour wouldn't arise."

He further revealed that he felt compelled to leave Spain due to the pressure and criticism, adding, "I am devastated. I have fled Spain because I cannot bear the pressure and criticism any longer."

The divorce proceedings are being handled by lawyers, with both parties keen to avoid court. Morata has agreed to the division of earnings as per their community property agreement, which mandates that earnings during the marriage be split evenly.

He has also stated that he does not wish to claim any profits from Alice's business ventures. "I am struggling with the separation and don't want any issues in the divorce," Morata said, emphasizing his willingness to ensure a smooth process.

Despite the painful split, both Morata and Campello have dismissed any malicious rumors, with Campello referring to them as "bulls***." The couple continues to prioritize their children's well-being, maintaining a "very good relationship" for their sake.
