South African pastor Paseka “Mboro” Motsoeneng made headlines as he carried a large wooden cross on his back while walking to court.
This unusual act, reminiscent of biblical imagery, was captured in a video that quickly went viral, sparking widespread reactions across social media platforms.
Pastor Mboro is currently facing serious charges, including kidnapping, possession of dangerous weapons, and assault.
Despite the gravity of these allegations, he chose to make a bold statement by bearing the cross, which he explained symbolizes "redemption and resilience in the face of life’s challenges."
Speaking to TimesLive, Pastor Mboro elaborated on the spiritual significance of his gesture, stating, “We were far away from God, but He brought us closer through the blood of Jesus, through the cross. All injustices, all diseases were on Him on the cross.”
The pastor's actions have not only drawn attention to his legal battles but also highlighted personal struggles, such as an incident involving his son, Revival, who was allegedly attacked by 11 individuals. According to Pastor Mboro, the suspects have been arrested and are facing charges of common assault and intimidation.
Reflecting on these challenges, he expressed confidence in overcoming them, asserting, “Today it’s just the beginning, I will conquer through the cross. Even if I face this war alone against ten, a hundred, or a million people, I will conquer it.”
