Six Nigerians Arrested in Libya for Drug Trafficking

Six Nigerians have been apprehended in Tripoli for alleged involvement in drug trafficking.

The arrest was carried out by the Stability Support Agency's Department of Investigation, which discovered substantial quantities of cocaine intended for distribution among the suspects.

This development was confirmed by Migrant Rescue Watch, a humanitarian organization, which stated, "The accused were found in possession of large quantities of cocaine ready for distribution. All are referred to public prosecution for legal action."

The group, consisting of one male and five females, has been handed over to public prosecution for further legal proceedings.

This incident shows a troubling pattern, as it follows the arrest of two other Nigerians in November in the Libyan cities of Sabha and Bani Walid on similar charges.

These individuals were caught with 1,200 hallucinogenic pills and other illicit substances.
