Music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs is facing a new legal battle as he has been accused of sexual battery and assault in a $10 million lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court. The allegations, brought forth by Bryana "Bana" Bongolan, claim that Diddy engaged in egregious conduct back in September 2016.
According to the lawsuit, Diddy allegedly "sexually battered Ms. Bryana 'Bana' Bongolan, dangled her off of a 17-story-high balcony, and then slammed her into the patio" at the apartment of his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. This incident reportedly mirrors similar accusations made by Ventura herself, which were settled in November 2023.
Diddy's legal team has responded to these serious allegations, stating, "As we have shared previously, anyone has the right to file a lawsuit, regardless of the evidence they may or may not have." They emphasized that since last year, Bongolan had expressed an intention to sue and sought legal representation to pursue her claims.
The lawsuit further alleges that this event was part of a pattern of "threats, intimidation, and violence" that characterized many of Bongolan's interactions with Diddy. These claims add to the growing list of legal challenges faced by the music icon, who was recently denied bail for the third time due to violations such as unauthorized phone use and concerns over potential witness tampering.
Judge Arun Subramanian, in denying bail, cited "evidence supporting a serious risk of witness tampering," highlighting the gravity of the ongoing legal proceedings against Diddy.
