Saudi Royal Allegedly Offers Mike Tyson $700Million for Jake Paul Rematch

Kally

The Chairman of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh has reportedly offered legendary boxer Mike Tyson a staggering $700 million to face off against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in a rematch. This offer comes after their previous bout, which took place last month and was broadcast live on Netflix, ended with Paul defeating Tyson.

The proposed rematch has sparked widespread speculation and debate, particularly given Alalshikh's past comments about Jake Paul's boxing career. Alalshikh, who is also an advisor at the Royal Court of Saudi Arabia, has previously criticized Paul's matches, referring to them as a "circus" and questioning the legitimacy of his boxing credentials. "Jake Paul is a joke," Alalshikh reportedly stated, emphasizing his preference for real boxing matches featuring skilled fighters rather than celebrity-driven events.

Despite the rumors circulating about this lucrative offer, there has been no official confirmation from Alalshikh, Tyson or Paul. The offer, if true, would be significantly higher than the $20 million Tyson earned from their initial fight. However, scepticism remains due to Alalshikh's known stance on such celebrity bouts.

Adding to the intrigue, Tyson is currently facing legal action for allegedly breaching a promotional agreement with a gambling corporation. The lawsuit claims that Tyson violated a contract by agreeing to the Netflix-sponsored fight with Paul, resulting in a financial loss for the company.
