The Real Madrid team bus was involved in a collision with a lorry and a car on the M40 motorway as it traveled back to Spain following their 2-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon around 1:15 PM between junctions 16 for Hockley Heath and 15 for Warwick.
Warwickshire Police confirmed that emergency services were called to the scene but reported no serious injuries. "Fortunately, nobody was seriously injured," a police statement read. It was noted that no players were on board the bus at the time of the accident. Instead, two drivers and two other members of the club staff were present.
The crash led to serious delays near Warwick and Hockley Heath, as images and videos emerged showing the front of the Real Madrid coach wedged against the lorry. The players, including stars like Jude Bellingham and Kylian Mbappé, had already returned to Spain by plane after the match.
