President Tinubu Appoints Eight Permanent Secretaries for Federal Civil Service

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of eight new permanent secretaries.

This decision, announced on December 16, aims to fill existing and impending vacancies across various states and geopolitical zones in Nigeria.

The newly appointed permanent secretaries are Onwusoro Maduka Ihemelandu from Abia State, Ndiomu Ebiogeh Philip from Bayelsa State, Anuma Ogbonnaya Nlia from Ebonyi State, Ogbodo Chinasa Nnam from Enugu State, Kalba Danjuma Usman from Gombe State, Usman Salihu Aminu from Kebbi State, Oyekunle Patience Nwakuso from Rivers State, and Nadungu Gagare from Kaduna State.

This marks the second set of appointments by President Tinubu, following an earlier batch last June, which included appointees from Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Jigawa, Ondo, Zamfara, South East, and South-South regions.

The selection process was conducted under the guidance of the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, ensuring a thorough vetting process.

Bayo Onanuga, the media aide to President Tinubu, stated, "The new appointees are expected to bring greater commitment, diligence, and innovation to their roles in serving the nation."

He further emphasized that these appointments are part of a broader agenda to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Federal Civil Service.
