President Tinubu and Wife, Oluremi Leave Brazil after G-20 Summit


President Bola Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu have concluded their visit to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, following their participation in the 2024 G-20 summit.


The summit, which took place saw Nigeria invited as a guest country among the world's 20 largest economies.


During the summit, President Tinubu underscored Nigeria's commitment to global socio-economic initiatives by announcing the country's dedication to the Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty.


This initiative, launched by the G-20, aims to address pressing global challenges related to hunger and poverty.


In his remarks, Tinubu emphasized, "Nigeria stands ready to contribute to global efforts in eradicating hunger and poverty, aligning with our national goals of sustainable development." Beyond participating in the summit's discussions, President Tinubu engaged in bilateral meetings that furthered Nigeria's international collaborations.


Notably, he signed a letter of intent with three Brazilian companies, marking a strategic partnership aimed at advancing Nigeria's livestock sector.
