Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has publicly apologised to David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, amidst a long-standing feud that has seen numerous accusations and legal actions.
The conflict between the two Afrobeats artistes escalated recently when Krane was arrested, allegedly on the orders of Davido, who accused him of defamation.
This arrest followed a series of allegations made by Krane, including claims of unpaid debts and alleged complicity in the death of Tagbo.
The tensions reached a boiling point when Krane accused Davido of murder in a viral tweet, which also mocked Davido's wedding. This led to Davido taking legal action, demanding a retraction within 24 hours.
Social media personality Verydarkman (VDM) broke the news of Krane's detention and pleaded with Davido to release him. VDM described an encounter at a police station where he saw Krane in custody and had a conversation with him about the situation.
After several days in detention, Krane was released. In a video shared by VDM on Instagram, Krane expressed his gratitude for the intervention. The following day, Krane took to social media to apologise to his fans for his behaviour, acknowledging his mistakes and outlining his plans for moving forward.
On September 8, 2024, Krane issued a direct apology to Davido on X, writing, "PLEASE @davido, I’M BEGGING. I’M ON MY KNEES."
