French footballer Paul Pogba has given Nigerian artist Asake what many are calling "the biggest free promo of life." During a live video session with popular American streamer Ishowspeed, Pogba requested that Asake's new hit song "Worldwide" be played to an audience of over two million viewers.
The interaction began when Ishowspeed asked Pogba for his favorite song at the moment. Without hesitation, Pogba responded, "Play me 'Worldwide' by Asake," referring to the track from Asake's acclaimed album "Lungu Boy." The streamer obliged, and as the song played, Pogba inquired if Ishowspeed had heard it before, to which he replied, "No."
As the music filled the stream, Ishowspeed, visibly impressed, asked Pogba if Asake was French. Pogba clarified, "Asake is from Nigeria," showing the global reach and appeal of Nigerian music.
