Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy and one half of the iconic music duo PSquare, has publicly accused his twin brother, Peter Okoye, also known as Mr P, of stealing his song.
This accusation adds another chapter to the ongoing saga of disputes between the two brothers, who have had a tumultuous relationship since their days as bandmates.
The controversy centers around Mr P's newly released track titled "Winning." According to Rudeboy, he originally wrote and performed the song with a producer for his upcoming solo album.
In an Instagram post, Rudeboy expressed his frustration, stating, "Song title: Winning. Written and sang by Rudeboy. Produced by same producer. Now how come? Now am I supposed to release another version?"
Rudeboy further alleged that the producer, whom he worked with, handed over the song to Mr P, who then recorded it "word for word." He questioned the management's decision, saying, "I submitted 6 songs to the so-called management. Why re-singing my own song? Word for word. Song that was supposed to be in my album next year, June."
In response to this perceived infringement, Rudeboy has threatened to release the original versions of any songs that are duplicated. He declared, "The days of manipulation are over!! And to the management, make I hear any song wey na only me sing, I go release the original version."
