Passengers Left Stranded as Trailers Blocks Abuja-Kaduna Expressway [PHOTOS]

A traffic standstill has left numerous passengers stranded on the Abuja-Kaduna expressway, particularly around the Katari-Jere area.

The blockage, caused by disorderly parked trailers and tankers, has created a chaotic scene with no immediate resolution in sight.

The congestion began early Sunday morning and has persisted for several hours. "It's been a nightmare," said one of the stranded motorists. "We've been stuck here for hours with no sign of relief."

The incident has severely impacted travelers heading from Kaduna State to the nation's capital, highlighting ongoing infrastructural and logistical challenges in the region.

Witnesses at the scene expressed frustration over the lack of efforts to restore normalcy. "There seems to be no coordinated response to clear the road," another passenger lamented.

This traffic disruption is part of a series of recent challenges facing Nigeria, including stampedes in Abuja and Anambra and power outages in Abuja due to vandalism.
