Famous Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, has recently opened up about her battle with a life-threatening illness. The 46-year-old actress shared a video on her Instagram page, revealing that she underwent surgery to remove her gallbladder.
In the video, Omotola expressed her gratitude to God for her survival and good health, despite being told by doctors that there was nothing more they could do at one point.
Omotola recounted her harrowing experience, which began with severe back and chest pain, persistent vomiting, and debilitating stomach discomfort. She described how she was rushed to the emergency room multiple times before finally undergoing a CT scan, ultrasound, and MRI, which led to the urgent decision to perform surgery.
"I threw up all night. By the morning, the most dilapidated stomach pain started, and I was rushed again to the emergency for the third time!" she explained.
"This time, I was wheeled in for a CT scan, ultrasound, and an MRI. Then the doctor said I have to go in for surgery immediately to remove my gallbladder. So the fight for my life began."
Despite the severity of her condition, Omotola remains optimistic and thankful for the gift of life and health. She urged her fans and followers to join her in thanking God for her recovery. Her post has garnered an outpouring of support and prayers from fans and colleagues alike, who wish her a speedy recovery.
