The Nigerian Army's 6 Brigade and Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) executed a series of strategic operations in Taraba State, leading to significant arrests that aim to bolster regional security.
The operations resulted in the apprehension of three suspects—Adamu Abubakar, Mohammed Bello, and Musa Adamu—in Andamin village, Karim Lamido local government council. These individuals are believed to be involved in various criminal activities that have been destabilizing the region.
In a separate but related operation, troops captured Musa Inusa, identified as a crucial logistics supplier for a notorious terrorist group operating within the Lau local government council.
According to a statement by Captain Oni Olubodunde, the Acting spokesperson of the Brigade, "His arrest is expected to disrupt the supply chain and further weaken the operational capabilities of the group." Items recovered from Inusa included a jack knife, cash amounting to N2,460, and substances suspected to be Indian hemp and other illicit drugs, indicating his role in sustaining the terrorist group's operations.
