he Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has announced that the new Port Harcourt refinery is over 90% completed.
This significant milestone was revealed by the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPCL, Mele Kyari, during a tour of the facility with labour leaders from the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC).
Speaking on Monday, Mr. Kyari emphasized the importance of this development for Nigeria's oil industry. "The completion of the Port Harcourt refinery is a pivotal advancement for our country," he stated. "It will enhance our national refining capacity, reduce reliance on imported petroleum products, and improve local fuel supply."
