NECO Officially Releases 2024 SSCE Internal Examination Results

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has officially released the results for the 2024 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) internal exams.

This announcement was made by NECO's Registrar and Chief Executive, Professor Dantani Wushishi, during a press briefing held on Saturday at the organization's headquarters in Minna, Niger State.

In a move to uphold the integrity of the examination process, NECO has blacklisted 21 supervisors across 12 states for various forms of misconduct.

These include poor supervision, aiding and abetting cheating, abscondment, extortion, drunkenness, and negligence. "We are committed to ensuring that our examinations are conducted with the highest level of integrity," stated Professor Wushishi.

Additionally, one school in Ekiti State has been de-recognized due to mass cheating in two core subjects and one science subject.

The crackdown didn't stop there; forty schools in 17 states were found to be involved in whole-school mass cheating.

These schools will be summoned by NECO for discussions, after which appropriate sanctions will be applied. "Forty schools were found to have been involved in whole-school mass cheating in 17 states, adding that the schools will be invited to the council for discussion after which appropriate sanctions will be applied," added Wushishi.
