The National Examinations Council (NECO) has accredited additional foreign schools to participate in the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) and Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
This development was announced by Mr. Azeez Sani, the Acting Director of Information and Public Relations at NECO.
The newly accredited institutions are located in Niger Republic and Equatorial Guinea. According to Mr. Sani, "The NECO Accreditation Team visited the schools to assess their readiness to write the SSCE and BECE."
The team conducted thorough inspections of various facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, libraries, computer labs, workshops, examination halls, and sports facilities, to ensure they met NECO's standards.
Following a comprehensive evaluation, these schools were granted full accreditation status for both the SSCE and BECE.
This expansion is part of NECO's commitment to providing quality education and assessment services beyond Nigeria's borders.
As Mr. Sani noted, "With its expanding global presence, NECO is poised to become a leading examination body in Africa, offering opportunities for students worldwide to benefit from its expertise."
