My Economic Reforms Yielding Positive Result, Says Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu has highlighted the positive impact of his economic policies on Nigeria's economy.

Despite acknowledging the hardships these measures have imposed on citizens, he emphasized their necessity to steer the country away from economic crises.

President Tinubu, represented by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, during the convocation ceremony of the Federal University of Technology Akure, stated that Nigeria is transitioning "from a consumption to a production economy."

He explained that strategic decisions, such as the removal of fuel subsidies and the unification of exchange rates, were crucial for the nation's recovery.

"The need to salvage the future of our children and bring the country back from the brink of collapse necessitated these decisions," he remarked.

While recognizing the challenges faced by Nigerians due to these reforms, Tinubu assured that the macro-economy is improving beyond expectations, with gradual positive changes in the micro-economy as well. "By the grace of the Almighty God, every household will experience a better life and have brighter hope for the future," he promised.

Furthermore, President Tinubu addressed national security concerns, stating, "We are working hard to ensure the safety of every Nigerian in every part of the country. Our security architecture is up to the task, and the ugly narratives of the past are changing for good."
