Renowned rapper and producer, Kanye West, is being sued by model Jennifer An for alleged sexual assault during a 2010 music video shoot.
The lawsuit, filed in federal court, accuses West of turning the filming of La Roux's "In For the Kill" Remix at New York City's Chelsea Hotel into a deeply disturbing experience.
Jennifer An, who gained fame as a contestant on cycle 13 of America's Next Top Model, claims that West selected her from a lineup, allegedly stating, “Give me the Asian girl.”
During the shoot, she was reportedly dressed in revealing lingerie when West made the comment, “That’s why I chose you.” According to the lawsuit, West then proceeded to choke her until she blacked out and forced her to perform acts that resembled pornography rather than art.
Jenn describes the incident as involving "pornographic gagging/deep throat/BDSM fetishes," which left her humiliated and physically distressed.
The lawsuit also implicates Universal Music Group, accusing both West and the company of gender-motivated violence. Jenn alleges that the incident was deliberately suppressed by the record label and other industry figures, seeking accountability for what she describes as a traumatic and exploitative experience.
