UEFA Champions League: "I Don’t Want PSG to Win" — Kylian Mbappe Declares Loyalty to Real Madrid

The French international and current forward for Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe, has expressed his desire for his team to triumph in the UEFA Champions League over his former club, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

This statement comes after Mbappe's recent transfer from PSG to Real Madrid during the summer of 2024.

Mbappe, who has yet to secure a Champions League title in his career, shared his thoughts in an interview with Clique TV.

When asked about his preferences regarding PSG's success in the tournament, he stated, “Do I want PSG to win UCL? Right now? No, I want to win with Madrid. But I wish them the best at PSG. I hope that one day they will win the Champions League. But not now, because I have to win a little (laughs).”

The 25-year-old's comments highlight the competitive nature of European football and underscore the personal ambitions that players often balance with their professional loyalties. Despite his preference for Real Madrid's success, Mbappe conveyed goodwill towards PSG, wishing them future victories in the prestigious competition.

Mbappe's journey in the Champions League has been marked by near misses, including playing in the 2020 final where PSG was narrowly defeated by Bayern Munich. His recent move to Real Madrid signifies a new chapter in his quest for the coveted trophy.
