Libya, in collaboration with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), has facilitated the repatriation of over 150 Nigerian migrants, primarily women and children.
This operation was conducted through Mitiga International Airport in Tripoli, as reported by Migrant Rescue Watch, an advocacy group dedicated to migrant issues.
The announcement, made on Tuesday, highlights the ongoing challenges faced by Nigerian migrants seeking better opportunities abroad.
The repatriation comes at a time when four Nigerians were recently arrested in Libya on charges related to drug trafficking and testing positive for infectious diseases.
