US attorney Tony Buzbee has reported receiving approximately 3,000 inquiries regarding potential civil cases against renowned musician Sean "Diddy" Combs. Speaking to the BBC, Buzbee estimated that around 300 of these cases might proceed, although he realistically anticipates the final number to be between 100 and 150.
The allegations, which span over two decades, involve both male and female victims. Buzbee, known for his representation of sexual abuse victims, has already filed 20 lawsuits. He stated, "We still get [calls] every single day," highlighting the ongoing influx of claims.
Combs, who is also facing separate criminal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, has denied all allegations. His legal team has characterized the civil suits as part of a "reckless media circus." In a statement to the BBC, Combs' attorney Erica Wolff asserted, "Mr. Combs has full confidence in the facts and the integrity of the judicial process."
Buzbee's approach has included a public call for potential victims to come forward, resulting in a significant response. He remarked, "If you just look at the conduct that's being alleged, it's pretty ubiquitous," suggesting a pervasive culture of misconduct within the entertainment industry.
