British actor John Boyega expressed his views on the future of the James Bond franchise, advocating for Daniel Craig to have continued in the iconic role. Boyega, known for his roles in films such as "Star Wars" and "They Cloned Tyrone," shared his admiration for Craig's portrayal of the legendary spy.
Boyega stated, "I still think Daniel should have done at least two more [films]. I'm not mad at an older Bond." He emphasized that the idea of a younger Bond might represent a significant rebranding of the franchise, which he finds intriguing yet challenging from a creative standpoint.
The actor also addressed ongoing rumors about his potential casting as the next 007. While flattered by the speculation, Boyega clarified, "You can only really answer that question when the opportunity actually lands in your lap and could work. I can't even fathom if that would ever be an option."
Beyond the Bond discussions, Boyega revealed details about his upcoming projects. He is set to star in a biopic of soul legend Otis Redding and will reprise his role in the sequel to "Attack the Block," alongside co-star Jodie Whittaker.
Despite fan theories suggesting his involvement in Marvel or DC superhero films, Boyega dismissed these rumours, stating that while he has several physically demanding projects lined up, they do not include superhero roles.
