Music executive Ubi Franklin has made it clear that he is not Davido's personal assistant or nanny, despite some individuals referring to him in such a manner.
In a response to a comment on the social media platform X, Ubi emphasized his role as a business administrator for the renowned afrobeats singer.
He stated, "Ubi is the CEO of Mademusicg, and if you see me working for Davido, it’s because I have the required qualifications and experience to do the job of a business administrator."
Ubi further mentioned that Davido affectionately calls him "#thesolutionist," underlining his professional contributions rather than any personal service roles. This clarification comes after Nigerian artist Timaya had previously referred to Ubi as Davido’s employed nanny in a tweet dated March 30, 2022.
Additionally, in October 2023, during a light-hearted moment on a jet, Davido jokingly called Ubi a nanny. Despite these playful jabs, Ubi remains firm in his professional identity, stating, "Definitely not his PA or nanny like most of you have tried to taunt me with. If that makes you happy, so be it. I am on the business end, and that’s where I’ll always be."
