"I Like Justice" — Jose Mourinho Addresses Pep Guardiola's Claims on Manchester City Relegation [VIDEO]

Jose Mourinho has publicly addressed comments made by Pep Guardiola regarding the potential relegation of Manchester City from the Premier League. The Fenerbahce head coach clarified his position, emphasizing that his concerns are rooted in financial justice rather than a desire to see City demoted.

Mourinho's remarks come in response to Guardiola's assertion that Mourinho is among those who wish to see Manchester City face severe penalties due to alleged breaches of financial regulations. "It’s not true that I want Man City to be relegated," Mourinho stated firmly. "I like justice and many times small clubs are punished for minor financial infractions, while the big sharks find ways to escape the rules."

The former Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham manager highlighted his own experiences with financial constraints during his tenure at Roma, showing his commitment to fair play. "For example, I suffered in Roma three years with great limitations about it," he explained, pointing out the disparity in how financial rules are applied across different clubs.

Despite the heated exchange, Mourinho was quick to dispel any notion of personal animosity towards Guardiola. Reflecting on their shared history at Barcelona, where Mourinho served as an assistant coach and Guardiola was a player, he remarked, "I like him a lot and he knows that, he likes me and I know that, there are no problems between us."
