I Don’t Believe in God Anymore, I am Agnostic - Kemi Badenoch Says [VIDEO]

Kemi Badenoch, the Leader of the United Kingdom's Conservative Party, has publicly declared her shift in religious beliefs.

Speaking on a podcast hosted by Bari Weiss, editor of Free Press, Badenoch disclosed, "I don’t believe in God anymore. But I am not an atheist, I am agnostic."

Badenoch, who has been a prominent figure in British politics and currently serves as the Member of Parliament for Saffron Walden, elaborated on her spiritual journey, describing herself as a "cultural Christian." She explained, "I used to believe in God very much but now I describe myself as a cultural Christian. I don’t think it matters if people believe in God or not. What matters is what they do with the belief or the lack of it."

This revelation comes amidst Badenoch's tenure as the Leader of the Opposition and the Conservative Party, roles she assumed earlier this year.

Known for her robust and often controversial political stance, Badenoch has not shied away from expressing her views, even when they attract criticism.

Reflecting on her experiences with law enforcement, Badenoch contrasted her negative encounters with the Nigerian police to her positive interactions with the British police. "The police in Nigeria will rob us," she recounted humorously, adding, "When people say I have this bad experience with the police because I’m black, I say well…I remember the police stole my brother’s shoe and his watch."

As the first black woman to lead a major UK political party, Badenoch continues to be a trailblazer, navigating the complexities of modern politics with a distinctive voice.
