Nigerian R&B sensation Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, shared the challenges she faces due to her rising fame.
During a podcast interview with Big Boy TV in the United States, Tems disclosed that her celebrity status has made it difficult for her to drive in Nigeria without police escorts. Reflecting on an incident from last December, she recounted, "I almost got mobbed while driving in Lagos."
This experience shows the necessity of having police escorts both in front and behind her vehicle to ensure her safety. Tems, who describes herself as an introvert, admitted that adjusting to her newfound fame has been a struggle. Despite these challenges, she has managed to adapt over time.
The interview also touched on lighter topics, such as her playful past of pretending to be Lil Wayne and addressing rumors about her personal life, including speculation about a pregnancy with rapper Future.
