In an Instagram live session, Hazel Oyeye Onou, popularly known as White Money and a former Big Brother Naija winner, sparked widespread discussion by asserting his musical superiority over fellow artist Shallipopi.
The clip from this session has since gone viral, capturing the attention of fans and industry insiders alike. White Money, who recently completed an extensive 8-state tour across the United States, shared his perspective on Shallipopi's artistry. He suggested that Shallipopi's success is less about vocal prowess and more about his charismatic presence.
"Like Shallipopi, he doesn't have a wonderful voice but once he holds that mic and says 'Plutomanians'... It's just the swag. Do you think it's by voice? It's not by voice," White Money remarked, emphasizing the role of personality in Shallipopi's appeal.
Despite not yet achieving mainstream success himself, White Money remains undeterred in his pursuit of becoming a Grammy-winning artist. He believes his international exposure places him in a strong position to offer advice to Shallipopi. "I am in a good position to advise him because I am more exposed musically, entertainment-wise so I can advise him, and he too can advise me. It's vice versa," he stated confidently.
