A man named Sura has filed for divorce from his wife, Adiun at the Grade A Customary Court in Mapo, Ibadan, Oyo State, citing severe allegations and threats to his life
According to Sura, his wife has been irresponsible, frequently quarrelsome, and has shown no love or care towards him.
He claims that Adiun has verbally abused him, cursed him, and even locked him in their room, preventing him from going to work by seizing his car key, which forced him to rely on public transportation.
The situation escalated when Adiun allegedly threatened to kill him. Sura is now seeking custody of their children, assuring the court that he will provide for them adequately.
In his words, "She locked me up in the room and seized my car key, forcing me to use public transportation.
She even threatened to kill me."
Adiun, however, denies all these allegations. The court president, Mrs. S.M Akintayo, has adjourned the case for further hearing.
