In a distressing allegation has emerged from the Gbagada General Hospital in Lagos, where a woman claims her sister's newborn was swapped with a deceased baby.
The incident, which has sparked outrage and calls for an investigation, was brought to light by a user on platform X, identified as @Aggie_lawlaah.
According to the account shared online, the sister of the accuser went into labor on December 1, 2024, and was induced two days later. After giving birth, the newborn experienced breathing difficulties and was admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
The father of the child was later asked to sign a test form that bore a different name, raising immediate concerns. Tragically the family was informed that their baby had passed away. However, upon receiving the body at the hospital morgue, they discovered it was labeled "Adefisan baby," conflicting with their own surname, Okolie.
This discrepancy has led the family to suspect a grave error or misconduct. "My sister is traumatized because this is her first c8hild," @Aggie_lawlaah expressed, urging authorities to investigate the matter thoroughly.
