He Abandoned Me At Birth – Blaqbonez Speaks About Relationship With His Father

Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, popularly known as Blaqbonez, has recently opened up about a deeply personal aspect of his life that has shaped his journey and identity.

In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Blaqbonez candidly shared the story of how his father abandoned him at birth, leaving a major void in his upbringing.

Blaqbonez, who has risen to prominence in the Nigerian music scene, recounted the absence of his father from his life with a sense of resilience and determination.

"My Dad kind of dipped when I was born, so he wasn’t there. I wasn’t raised by my dad," he revealed during the interview. This abandonment left Blaqbonez to navigate life without the presence and guidance of a paternal figure, a reality that many might find daunting. However, it is this very experience that has fueled his drive and ambition, propelling him to become one of Africa's most celebrated rappers.

Despite the challenges posed by his father's absence, Blaqbonez has not allowed this to define him negatively. Instead, he has channeled his energy into his music, using it as a platform to express his emotions and connect with others who may have faced similar circumstances.

His discography, which he confidently claims is unmatched by any other African rapper, serves as a testament to his talent and dedication. Last year, award-winning Ghanaian-American singer Amaarae even declared Blaqbonez as the best rapper in Nigeria, further solidifying his status in the industry.
