Chelsea's rising star, Cole Palmer, has been shortlisted for the prestigious PFA Young Player of the Year award.
This nomination comes after an outstanding season where the 22-year-old English international scored an impressive 22 league goals and provided 11 assists, making him the player with the highest goal involvements in the Premier League last season.
Palmer's exceptional performance has not gone unnoticed, as he joins a competitive list of nominees that includes Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, Brighton’s Joao Pedro, Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho, and Michael Olise, who recently transferred from Crystal Palace to Bayern Munich.
The PFA Young Player of the Year award is highly esteemed, as it is voted for by the players who competed in the Premier League last season.
The winner will be announced on August 20 at this year’s PFA Awards ceremony in Manchester.
