FG Cracks Down on Terrorists' Social Media Use in New Initiative

The Nigerian Federal Government has ramped up efforts to monitor and track the activities of the terrorist on social media platforms.

This initiative comes in response to the increasing use of platforms like TikTok by these groups to flaunt weapons, display cash, and make unusual requests in viral videos.

Maj. Gen. Adamu Laka, the National Coordinator of the Counter-Terrorism Centre, emphasized the government's commitment to addressing this digital threat.

"Yes, we have noticed it and are taking actions against such trends," he stated, showing the proactive measures being implemented to counteract the propaganda spread by these groups.

The government has challenged these groups to engage directly with security forces, dismissing their online threats as mere attempts to instill fear among the populace.
