Ex-Man Utd Manager, Ten Hag Emerges as Candidate to Take Reigns at Bundesliga Club

Former Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has emerged as a candidate to coach the Bundesliga club RB Leipzig.

According to reports, Ten Hag was relieved of his duties at Old Trafford following a challenging start to the season, which saw Manchester United languishing in 14th place in the Premier League and struggling in the Europa League. The tipping point came after a defeat against West Ham in late October, leading to his dismissal.

Since then, Ten Hag has been without a club, but recent developments suggest he could soon return to management. Patrick Berger of Sky Germany reported that Ten Hag is on the shortlist to replace Marco Rose at RB Leipzig.

The German club is currently experiencing a poor run of form, with Rose's position under scrutiny after a series of disappointing results, including a heavy 5-1 loss to VfL Wolfsburg.

RB Leipzig, sitting fourth in the Bundesliga, is considering potential replacements should they decide to part ways with Rose. Alongside Ten Hag, Roger Schmidt, who previously managed Red Bull Salzburg, is also being considered, although Schmidt reportedly does not wish to leave his current role mid-season. As Leipzig prepares for crucial upcoming fixtures, the club's leadership may soon make a decision regarding their coaching situation.
