The ongoing feud between the Okoye brothers, members of the once-celebrated music duo P-Square, has taken a toll on their personal and professional relationships.
Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, has publicly expressed his dismay over the rift with his twin brother Peter (Mr P) and their elder brother Jude.
In a heartfelt plea, Paul questioned, "Even if we don't do Psquare, can't we still be brothers?" This statement signifies the emotional strain the feud has placed on the family.
The crisis, which has been making headlines, intensified when Paul accused Peter of using the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to have him arrested.
This allegation was revealed during an interview with City FM, further deepening the divide between the siblings. In response, Peter took to social media to deny the accusations, clarifying that his focus was on uncovering the truth behind a secret company, Northside Music, allegedly owned by Jude and his wife, Ifeoma.
Jude Okoye, who has been drawn into the controversy, addressed the situation in an Instagram live session on August 19, 2024.
He firmly denied Peter’s allegations that he diverted P-Square’s royalties into a private account, calling the claims baseless. Jude emphasized that despite the professional fallout, the brothers should strive to maintain their familial bond.
The public fallout among the Okoye brothers has left fans disheartened, especially after the group's previous split in 2017 and brief reunion in 2021.
Paul’s recent plea highlights the emotional toll the feud has taken on the family, as he continues to call for unity despite their professional differences. "Even if we don’t do P-Square, can’t we be brothers? Even if we can’t do music, can’t we be brothers?" Paul reiterated during an Instagram live session.
